PPAPP Targets to Realize 1,500 Jakpreneurs This Year

Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control (PPAPP) Department targets to produce 1,500 Jakpreneurs this year.

Our target is 1,500 Jakpreneurs for this year. At least 60-70 percent from total applicants can be new entrepreneurs or Jakpreneurs

Jakarta PPAPP Department Head, Tuty Kusumawati mentioned, her side is also targeted 3,030 people who apply for Jakpreneur program.

"Our target is 1,500 Jakpreneurs for this year. At least 60-70 percent from total applicants can be new entrepreneurs or Jakpreneurs," she stated, Tuesday (2/25).

Jakpreneur, City's Integrated Entrepreneurship Program Developed Through Collaborative Ecosystem

According to her, Jakpreneurs are those who have undergone entrepreneurship training program and launched their products.

"People who only register and attend the training but haven't produced their own products, they can't be called the new entrepreneurs," she said.

She informed, Jakarta PPAPP Department has 44 PJLP who work as Jakpreneur mentors in each sub-district. One mentor is targeted to train 68 Jakpreneurs.

"This year, we are also targeting 3,030 registrants, and divide it for 44 sub-districts. Thus in one sub-district, we are targeting 68 people. If we look for new business it is rather difficult, but there are many people who want to upgrade their business," she conveyed.

PPAPP Department, he continued, is focus on developing entrepreneurship that is oriented towards Efforts to Increase Income for Prosperous Family (UPPKS).

"We also have main tasks to train PJLPs, thus they can be skilled at mobilizing the community and able to meet the demands of the market to improve product quality through collaboration with CSR," she closed.
