He mentions several spice commodity prices that had experienced an increase include red ginger worth at Rp 80,000 per kg, temulawak Rp 40,000 per kg and turmeric Rp 18,000 per kg.
"We hope traders do not raise prices high. We also urge the public not to panic," he told.
In the meantime, Icha (34), spice trader at the Senen Market said, the price of spices had risen in line with increased demand last week. But now, it has gradually declined.
"Now the supply is safe. So prices have dropped but have not stabilized," he stated.
