Progress in Repairing Sunter River's Retaining Wall Reaches 75 Percent

Sunter River's retaining wall repair that is located at RT 12/13, Cipinang Muara, Jatinegara, East Jakarta has reached 75 percent, on Thursday (3/12). Water level on the river often rises thus it inhibits the repair.

We repair it using river stones and piles of dolken woods

Jatinegara Water Resources (SDA) Unit personnel, Tamrizal conveyed, his side has started the repair since end of February.

"Retaining wall as long as 30 meters with height of 4 meters was collapsed thus we repair it using river stones and piles of dolken woods," he said.

He couldn't tell when the repair could be finished because he had to stop the work when water level rose. Besides, his side needs to share the material with other units who repair another retaining walls in different locations in East Jakarta.

"We only repair it temporarily to prevent it from collapsing again. Only BBWSCC that has the authority to install the sheet piles and repair it permanently," he convey ed.
