Bintaro Waste Bank Successfully Collects 328.5 Waste Kilograms

The waste bank in Bintaro, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta succeeded in collecting 328.5 kilograms of various types of waste from citizens in today's weighing activity.

The economic value obtained from the waste collection is Rp 389,700

Most waste collected consists of boncos, magazines, cardboard boxes, buckets, beverage bottles, zinc, cans, iron and glass.

"The economic value obtained from the waste collection is Rp 389,700," expressed Bintaro Urban Village Economic Development Division Head, Endang, Thursday (3/12).

South Jakarta Has 611 Waste Banks

He explained the weighing of waste involving 92 PPSU officers and 3 waste bank vendors was routinely conducted every two weeks. Hundreds of kilograms of waste collected were the result of sweeping in 15 RWs in this urban village.

"Besides helping the government in sorting waste, it is also very helpful to the economic of citizens," he said.
