9 Sport Centers in South Jakarta will Be Used as Temporary Shelters

South Jakarta Government prepared 9 sport centers (GOR)s to be used as temporary shelter to facilitate residents who don't have place to live due to COVID-19 pandemic and Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation.

We have prepared 9 GORs to handle this issue

Those GORs will be equipped with public kitchen, health service post, and adequate sanitation. Thus, residents who are financially unable to pay rent for their housing can still get a decent place to live.

"We have prepared 9 GORs to handle this issue, while COVID-19 handling team will set the capacity for each GOR. We estimate it can accommodate around 300-1,000 people based on the size of each GOR,"conveyed Reinhard, Head of South Jakarta Youth Center Management Unit (GRJS), Monday (4/27).

Those 9 GORs that will be used are Jagakarsa Sub-district GOR, Kebayoran Lama Sub-district GOR, Pancoran Sub-district GOR, Pesanggrahan Sub-district, Mampang Prapatan Sub-district  GOR, Pasar Minggu Sub-district GOR, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district GOR, Tebet Sub-district Youth GOR, and Cilandak Sub-district Youth GOR.

"The point is, all GORs have been prepared to accommodate people affected by COVID-19," he mentioned.
