Surveillance System During Second Phase of PSBB in East Jakarta Keeps being Tightened

The East Jakarta Satpol PP continues to deploy 150 personnel to increase surveillance and enforcement during the second phase of the PSBB. They are assisted by army/police and Transportation Sub-agency.

It is more to discipline violators in a joint effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. That is by dissolving the crowd while simultaneously collecting data and giving written warnings.

"We still find residents not wearing masks, crowding and business places (not excluded) still opening, despite it has been banned," expressed East Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Budi Novian, Tuesday (4/28).

Specifically for stubborn business places, the officer has posted a sticker and warned them not to operate until the PSBB ends.

Aside that his side conducts stricter supervision in Jatinegara Ornamental Fish Market area on Jalan Matraman Raya, Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC) area, Pasar Rebo Flyover, Pramuka Market, Pedongkelan Intersection and Pulogadung Terminal.

"Other targets are business places that are still open, despite they have been ordered to close. To optimize our action, we have coordinated with the Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency and PPKUKM Sub-agency," he stated.
