Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Cases as of May 7, 2020

Jakarta Provincial Government through Task Force Team for Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling in DKI Jakarta informed the latest data regarding COVID-19 cases per May 7, 2020.

718 COVID-19-positive people have been recovered

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, 718 COVID-19-positive people have been recovered from total 4,775 confirmed cases and death toll to reach 430 people in Jakarta.

"2,199 patients are still being treated in hospitals. While 1,428 patients conducting self-isolation in their houses," she said as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

April 10 - May 3, Dishub Records 29,797 Violations

The cumulative PCR test conducted in Jakarta up to May 6, 2020 was 71,366 samples. Whereas, PCR test on May 6 was conducted on 1,088 people with result of 66 people confirmed positive and 1,022 negative. It should be underlined that one patient can be tested several times during the treatment period.

"Asymptomatic people (OTG) reached 1,580 people. People Under Surveillance (ODP) 7,399 people (where 7,399 people have been monitored and 239 people are still monitored), and Patients Under Observation (PDP) 6,295 people (5,235 people have returned home and 1,060 inpatients)," she continued.

According to him, rapid test is still carried out in 6 municipalities and regency of Jakarta and Employee Health Center (PPKP). Total 82,652 people have undergone the rapid tests with positive percentage of COVID-19 of 4 percent. In detail, as many as 3,155 people have been declared positive and 79,497 negative from rapid test.

Jakarta Health Agency also provides mental health service for residents affected by COVID-19. In addition, residents can also access online consulting service through website sahabatjiwa-dinkes.jakarta.go.id.

Jakarta Government expressed its gratitude to various sides who have assisted and collaborated in handling COVID-19 pandemic. There are total 139 collaborators from various elements who have participated through Secretariat of the Task Force for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling in Jakarta.

For other residents who want to collaborate can send their supports in form of personal protective equipment, face masks, gloves, and disinfectants to the Secretariat Office on the 2nd floor of Block G Building, City Hall, or through jdcn.jakarta.go.id.

Jakarta Government also opens opportunities for people who want to help residents affected by COVID-19 by participating in Large-scale Social Collaborations (KSBB) in this Ramadan Month. Donators can choose to provide assistance in form of staple foods, ready meals, or cash.

From April 24 to May 6, 2020 at 11:00, KSBB Working Group (Pokja) has collected commitments for 121,062 staple food packages; 41,714 meals; and 20,702 Lebaran packages (cash) for economically vulnerable residents at RW level. Based on the compilation of incoming commitments data adjusted to the needs of each RW, regarding the fulfillment of RW needs, it mentioned that in the 4th week of the KSBB, there were 4 RWs whose needs have been fulfilled from total 20 affected RWs.

Per May 6, 2020, KSBB had received commitments in form of 212,205 staple food packages for each families; 91,974 meals (one per person); and 28,756 Eid packages for each families. Currently, there are 20 companies and one person who joined as donators.

Jakarta Government also builds cooperation with official aid distributors, namely Jakarta Red Cross (PMI), Jakarta Baznas Bazis, Rumah Zakat Foundation, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), Dompet Dhuafa, and Human Initiative. Detailed information can be accessed via corona.jakarta.go.id/ksbb.
