Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Cases as of May 10

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of May 10.

2,360 are still being treated in hospital and 1,533 are undergoing self-isolation at home

According to Widyastuti, Head of Jakarta Health Agency, as many as 803 out of 5,140 patients infected with COVID-19 recovered and 444 died.

She explained, the cumulative PCR test conducted in Jakarta up to May 9 was 83,394 samples. While the PCR test as of May 9, as many as 2,886 people underwent the test. As many as 1,654 tests were done to confirm the diagnosis in new cases where 182 were positive and 1,472 were negative.

As for the number of people without symptoms (OTG) is reaching 1,813 people. The number of individuals being monitored (ODP) is reaching 7,859 people (7,601 have been monitored and 258 are still being monitored). While there are 6,412 patients under surveillance (PDP), comprising 5,309 have returned to home and 1,103 are still being treated.

"We also intensify COVID-19 rapid tests in six cities/regencies of Jakarta and the employee health service centers (PPKP). Around 87,014 people or 4 percent have undergone rapid test, with details 3,480 tested positive from COVID-19 and 83,534 tested negative," she stated.

The city also thanked various parties who had helped and collaborated in its handling, there are a total of 142 collaborators from various elements who have participated.

Support in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE), masks, gloves and disinfectants can be directly delivered to the Secretariat of Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force, at City Hall, Block G on the second floor or through jdcn.jakarta.go.id.

Even the community also has the opportunity to donate with others in the large-scale social collaboration (KSBB) program during Ramadan through corona.jakarta.go.id/ksbb. They can provide aid in the form of staple foods, fast food and cash.

Since April 24 to May 9 at 11 AM, the Pokja PSBB has collected commitments for 154,448 staple food packages, 47,285 fast food packages, 11,549 Eid packages and 404 THR packages for low-income families at the RW, institution and pesantren (Islamic boarding school) levels. Based on compilation of incoming commitments data adjusted to the needs of each RW, on the second week of Ramadan as of May 9, there were 67 RWs that had received social aid from the total needs of 171 RWs receiving KSBB aid.

They have also received commitments from various groups, precisely 32 corporate/group donors and 2 individual donors. In this case, the city has partnered with the Jakarta Baznas Baznas, the Jakarta Red Cross (PMI), the Rumah Zakat Foundation, the Quick Action Response, Dompet Dhuafa and the Human Initiative to smoothen aid distribution for the needy.
