Jokowi Donates 4 Cows to Manggarai Residents

Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo conducted Eid ul Adha prayer at the yard of City Hall, Jalan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta, Sunday (10/5). After the prayer, Jokowi held halal bihalal (gathering) with Jakarta Provincial Government civil servants.

Jokowi then sent off hundreds of sacrificial animal examiners from Jakarta Marine and Livestock Department as well as people from IPB and UI. In addition, he also symbolically handed out sacrificial animals that were brought from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to Jakarta Provincial Government. In this Eid ul Adha, the City Hall’s committee received 20 cows and 21 goats.
“The slaughtering process will be done at Cakung Animal Slaughterhouse (RPH), East Jakarta. Later on, sacrificial meat will be distributed to the citizens who live around the City Hall,” stated Head of Marine and Livestock Department, Darjamuni.

“I give four cows (to be sacrificed). These are big cows,” he said.
For information, in this Eid ul Adha 1435 Hijri, Jokowi donated 20 cows and 44 goats for the needy.
