City Donates 80 Cows

Jakarta Provincial Government donates sacrificial animals in form of 80 cows and 75 goats in Eid ul Adha this year to be distributed to five municipalities and Seribu Islands Administration.

It shows the enthusiasm of civil servants to sacrifice has increased

“The sacrificial animals’ slaughtering process is done at Cakung Animal Slaughterhouse (RPH) until tomorrow. We also distribute sacrificial animals to mosques in the capital city,” stated City Secretary Saefullah after Eid ul Adha prayer at City Hall, Sunday (10/5).

According to Saefullah, the number of sacrificial animals collected by Jakarta Provincial Government this year is increasing than last year.

“It shows the enthusiasm of civil servants to sacrifice has increased. We hope similar thing would happen next year or even more increase,” he expressed.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Marine and Livestock Department, Darjamuni, told that his department sent 656 officers to examine 93,621 sacrificial animals spread in 1,375 RPHs in Jakarta. Thus, he ensures those sacrificial animals are in healthy condition and have met slaughtering requirements.

“We’ve coordinated with sacrificial animal suppliers to attach Animal Health Certificate (SKKH) on every animal,” he said.
