11,419 Packages Distributed for Residents in Pondok Bambu

Jakarta Government distributed assistance as many as 11,419 packages to Pondok Bambu Urban Village, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. This assista nce was distributed immediately to residents in 13 RWs.

Pondok Bambu Urban Village Head, Angga Sastra Amidjaya conveyed, his side received more packages in this second phase of social assistance (Bansos). Previously, his side only received 5,800 packages.

"We have proposed for more packages," he confirmed, Tuesday (5/19).

With this amount of packages, he considered, assistance was more evenly distributed. Thus he hoped it could help more people in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic.

RW 08 Pondok Bambu Leader, Elsye Pongoh stated, each packages consist of 10 kilograms rice, 2 liters cooking oil, 4 cans sardines, 1 tin biscuits, 1 soap bar, flour, soy sauce, and 2 packs corn vermicelli.

"Surely this assistance is very useful for residents during the pandemic. At least it can ease their burden and they are happy to get attention from the government," she said.
