Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Cases as of May 28

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of May 28.

2,055 are still being treated in hospital

According to Ani Ruspitawati, Division Head of Health Resources, COVID-19 positive cases increased to 103. In total, there were 6,929 positive people in Jakarta, with details 1,719 were declared cured and 514 died.

"2,055 are still being treated in hospital and 2,641 are undergoing self-isolation at home," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

As for the number of people without symptoms (OTG) reached 17,069 people. The number of individuals being monitored (ODP) reached 13,635 people, while 9,577 patients were under surveillance (PDP).

She added the city had also increased the inspection capacity of the RT-PCR method, which is by building a COVID-19 Satellite Laboratory, located in a part of the Pasar Minggu RSUD area since April 9 and developing a network with 36 COVID-19 inspection laboratories.

While the cumulative PCR test conducted in Jakarta up to May 27 were 138,476 samples. While the PCR test as of May 27, as many as 2,365 people underwent the test. As many as 1,061 tests were done to confirm the diagnosis in new cases where 103 were positive and 958 were negative.

Her party also intensified COVID-19 rapid tests in six cities/regencies of Jakarta and the employee health service centers (PPKP). Around 136,854 people or 4 percent have undergone rapid test, with details 5,665 tested positive from COVID-19 and 131,189 tested negative from the virus.

They also received aid commitments from 98 corporate/group donors and 12 individual donors.
