Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission C suggested Jakarta Tax and Levy Agency (BPRD) to provide tax relief by 50 percent on urban and rural land and building tax (PBB-P2).

In the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, Commission C Vice Chairperson, Rasyidi H.Y. assessed, tax relief could be provided in order to optimize Jakarta's tax revenue.
"We urge city to provide tax relief by 50 percent on PBB-P2. Thus taxpayers could be encouraged to fulfill their tax obligations immediately," he explained, Thursday (6/4).

According to plan, this policy will be realized soon through Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) issuance in the near future.
"Just wait for Pergub issuance, because it can't be done without Pergub. Hopefully this plan could work well and encouraged people to pay all of their taxes. Thus it could increase our APBD," he mentioned.
