PSBB Transition, 80 Personnel Alerted to Supervise Citizen Activities in Kramat Jati Market

Some 80 joint personnel of Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-agency assisted by army and police were ready to supervise citizen activities during PSBB at Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta.

"It is still intensified, as there are still found people in the market do not implement health protocols amid COVID-19 outbreak," said East Jakarta Economic and Development Assistant, Kuswanto, on the sidelines of a joint ceremony on Tuesday (6/9) morning.

In East Jakarta, he said, there were 33 traditional markets in oversight. Thus we can give them sanctions if they break the rules," he stated.

Kramat Jati Market Manager Agus Lamun added supervision was a must as a deterrent effect, because of the high activity in the market.

"To raise public awareness is indeed not easy. Therefore, activities like this must be routinely carried out at all times," he stressed.

In the meantime, Kramat Jati Sub-district Health Center Head Inda Mutiara added the number of COVID 19 sufferers in Kramat Jati reached 166 people. 60 out of them were still treated and 13 died. From this case, 42 cases were detected around Jati Market and Tengah Urban Village areas.

"They were infected after visiting the Kramat Jati Market and residential area around the market. Hopefully this virus ends soon thus we can do normal activities as usual," he hoped.
