Seven firefighters of Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gukarmat) Sub-agency alerted to disinfect the Thomas Market, Jalan Tanah Abang V, Petojo Selatan, Gambir.

Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Rescue Team Head Jandes L Turnip said the action was conducted to stop the chain of coronavirus spread.

"It is conducted at 9 AM and finished at 11 AM, using two air spray tools with a capacity of 1,500," he expressed, Tuesday (6/23).

Thomas Market Caretaker Ari Siswoyo said the market was still closed, following the findings of two traders infected with COVID-19. Therefore, his side coordinated with the Gulkarmat Sub-agency to conduct disinfectant spray.

"It will be done in three days in a row.  We also always encourage traders and buyers to implement the COVID-19 preventive health protocol," he closed.
