Conducting Friday Prayer, Ariza Reminds Residents to Comply with Health Protocols

Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria (Ariza) had a chance to do Friday Prayer together with mosque caretakers, local residents, and religious leaders at Jami' Al-Munnawar Mosque, Pasar Minggu South Jakarta, this Friday (6/26).

His side hopes their discipline in implementing health protocols can prevent them from COVID-19 transmission.
"Hopefully it can be a good moment, that even though it is in the midst of COVID-19, but we can cooperate together. Mosque is the first unit which opened in the transition period, so it is hoped to be a good role model for other units. According to him, this program called 'Salat Jumat Keliling' which means conducting Friday Prayer from one mosque to another, is carried out to have friendly meeting (silaturahmi) with the mosque caretakers, ulema, and locals.
"We are here for this program, together with governor who conduct Friday Prayer in other mosque. Not only conducting Friday Prayer, we also want to build relationship between government and ulema, religious leaders, and muslims who pray in this mosque," he explained.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Dikmental Bureau Head, Hendra Hidayat mentioned, Jakarta Goverment has collaborated with various religious institutions for socializing and monitoring health protocols implementation in worship places.
"We keep telling the residents through religious institutions, including Religious Upper House. Hopefully, residents can always remember it and comply with health protocols for the common good and health," he stated.
This activity was
also attended by South Jakarta Mayor, Marullah Matali; Jakarta Council (DPRD) Legislators; local sub-disrict and urban village heads; local mosque's ulema; Jami' Al-Munnawar Mosque DKM Administrators; and representative of MUI and DMI Administrators.
