Jakarta Maritime Museum Management Unit Head, Berkah Shadaya mentioned, this forum was not only discussed about historical exploration aspects, but also the challenges to promote maritime as a culture.

All this time, he assessed, people knows Maritime Museum only as a place to store boats and maritime artifacts. In fact, maritime is also a part of coastal communities culture.

"Through Pasar Ikan Explorer, we want to promote maritime history thus people become more aware of this issue," he stated.

According to him, one of the reasons why younger generations are less interested in learning about maritime history is because literacy related to maritime history are mostly written in standard and rigid format.

"This challenge should be solved thus our efforts in promoting maritime as one of our histories and cultures can be optimized," he stated.
