Spraying Disinfectant is Intensified in TMII Area

For the sake of safety and comfort of visitors, as many as 12 fire engines with 4,000 liters capacity plus 20 sprayers belong to Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency have been alerted to spray disinfectant in the 130-hectare tourist area, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta, which aims to fight the COVID-19 outbreak.

It is conducted on all roads, at provincial platforms, museums, management offices and the main building of Sasono Langgeng Budoyo.

Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency Head Satriadi Gunawan said it was done to follow up on TMII's requests. "This is the fourth time we do. We have dispatched 60 firefighters to the location," he expressed, Monday (7/13).

TMII Reopening, Visitors Expected to Comply with Health Protocols

He stated it was one part of efforts and public service amid COVID-19 pandemic.

"It is done, as TMII is an icon of a national tourist attraction," he said.

TMII President Director Tanry Balilamo added his party thanked the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Gulkarmat Agency for the action. All this time, he assessed, the independent spraying was also routinely done by his party, especially in the museum area.

"In this pandemic, we continue to implement health protocols optimally and encourage visitors to obey it," he stated.
