Commission B Chairman Agreed with City's Decission to Close Entertainment Venues

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission B Chairman, Abdul Aziz assessed, Jakarta Government's decision not to immediately open entertainment places during PSBB Transition Phase 1 was appropriate.

It has been considered well with valid data

According to him, the policy taken by Jakarta Government has been carefully considered with valid data regarding the risk of COVID-19 transmission in the nightclubs that relatively high.

"I think the policy to close temporarily the nightclubs is very appropriate. It has been considered well with valid data," he conveyed, Thursday (7/23).

Disparekraf Seals 26 Entertainment Venues During Transition Period

He asserted that people's safety becomes the main priority and consideration, therefore his side requested that entertainment businesses and workers to be patient in following this policy. Moreover, recently Jakarta becomes the epicenter of COVID-19 pandemic where the number of victims continues to increase.

"We hope entertainment businesses and workers to be patient and accept this policy," he closed.
