Cijantung Market Provides Daycare Center During Transitional PSBB

To reduce the potential of COVID-19, the Pasar Rebo Sub-district decides to make the integrated post in Cijantung Market as a daycare center.

Pasar Rebo Sub-district Vice Head Santoso said it was done as there were many parents who bring their children to shop at traditional markets when the officers held the raid. Whereas, children and elderly were prohibited from being in a crowd as they were prone to COVID-19.

"Herein we encourage children to mingle, be entertained so they don't get bored. Generally, they are even happy here while awaiting their mother to finish shopping," he expressed, Thursday (7/30).

Every day, his side held the raid at Cijantung Market by alerting 16 joint personnel who are divided into two groups. The first group was tasked with patrolling around the market to supervise and another team was tasked to conduct administrative records in case of violations while keeping children in daycare.

Sawitri (32), one of mothers, admitted she could entrust her child safely at the daycare, Cijantung Market area. "Surely, I feel so calm and shopping becomes comfortable too," she admitted.
