244 Qurban Meat on Residential Islands Have Been Examined

The Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Agency inspectors assisted by six doctors of the Indonesian Veterinarian Association (PDHI) have examined qurban meat in Thousand Islands.
According to Guyantoro, Division Head of Livestock and Animals, the animal slaughtering on residential islands were done separately in order to smoothen the examination process.

He stated those 244 animals spread over in six urban villages consisted of 48 cows, 64 goats and 132 sheep.
From the meat, the inspectors found liver worms in eight cows and one goat, including pneumonia in one cow and one goat.
"They are found in 11.5 kg of liver and 2 kg of lungs. Afterwards we burn them immediately," he explained.
Through this action, he hoped that the meat given to the residents was safe for consumption.
