The Central Jakarta administration is set to hold a ceremony to commemorate the celebration of the 75 Independence Day on August 17 while implementing health protocols.
According to Bayu Meghantara, Mayor of Central Jakarta, during the ceremony, every participant should wear a mask, maintain physical distancing and limit the number.

He explained, in this year, the ceremony at urban village level would be merged in the sub-district.
"Unfortunately there will be no competitions at RT until city level in order to avoid the crowd," he expressed.
Aside that, the mayor along with the Interfaith Communication Forum (FKUB) would hold a joint prayer on August 14 with the number of participants limited to a maximum of 30 people.
"It will be held at 2 PM prior to the ceremony on the coming Monday," he closed.
