President Distributes 2,000 Aid Packages to Thousand Islands

The Thousand Islands Regency has received 2,000 packages of social aid from the president, which is delivered by the representatives of the State Secretariat office in the Pramuka Island Main Pier for North Thousand Islands and the Tidung Island Main Pier for South Thousand Islands.
Assistant for Thousand Islands Economic Administration and Development Iwan P Samosir said the social aid consisted of rice, cooking oil, tea and sugar was directly distributed to six urban villages in each island.

"Hopefully it can be helpful to meet their needs amid COVID-19," he expressed, Thursday (8/7).
He hoped that residents would continue to work independently to improve their economy by doing activities as usual and remain implement health protocols.
Harapan Island Urban Village Head Adi Apandi added his region received 300 packages of social aid and then distributed to three RWs on Harapan Island and one RW on Sebira Island.
"For three RWs on Harapan Island, the aid will be sent today and will be continued with Sebira Island tomorrow," he explained.
While Tidung Island Urban Village Hafsah uttered his region received 307 packages and distributed to residents through RT and RW caretakers.
"We have cooperated with RT/RW to distribute the aid with health protocols," he said.
