The East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency is set to implement a one-way traffic at Sentra Primer Bridge, Cakung on Monday at 4 PM to 7 PM. It is only temporary.

"This policy was made to parse traffic jam in the afternoon, precisely from Sentra Primer Bridge from Pondok Kopi towards Pulogebang," expressed Didi Kurniawan, Division Head of Traffic, Sunday (8/9).

According to him, it applied to all motorists coming from the west towards east or from Pondok Kopi to Pulogebang. As for vehicles from east (Bekasi) towards west (Jakarta) will be rerouted to Jalan Sentra Primer Timur – Jalan Cakung Cilincing Timur – Jalan Raya Stasiun Cakung – Jalan Cakung Cilincing Barat – Jalan Sentra Primer – Jalan Dr Sumarno – Jalan Raya Penggilingan.

"Vehicles from Pulogebang can't pass through the flyover, as traffic light to the bridge has been closed. They must turn left to Cakung Station - Jalan Cakung Cilincing on the west side of toll road until under Sentra Primer Bridge and Jalan Dr Soemarno," he explained.

To smoothen traffic, his party had installed a number of traffic signs and alerted 20 personnel at the location.

"Hopefully the motorists can obey traffic rules and follow the direction of officers in the field," he stated.
