Preventing COVID-19 Transmission, Jakarta City Hall's Elevators Equipped with Sensors

In order to prevent COVID-19 transmission in Jakarta City Hall Building, Jakarta General Bureau will install sensors on each elevators. Currently, it has been installed in Block G and E Buildings.

We also deploy inner security personnel (Pamdal) to be on standby in several entrance gates

Jakarta Secretariat General Bureau Head, Budi Awaludin mentioned, sensors installation was needed to ensure guests, civil apparatuses and PJLP personnel in City Hall area can use elevator without pressing the button, just put the palm in front of the sensor.  

"Sensor has been installed to make sure guests, civil apparatuses, or PJLP personnel not pressing the elevator buttons to prevent COVID-19 transmission," he conveyed, Tuesday (9/8).

Since the COVID-19 pandemic occurred at Jakarta City Hall area, his side continued to strengthen health protocols and add more facilities for increased the prevention against COVID-19. Including providing 13 portable hand washing facilities and installing thermal CCTV cameras at the entrance gate of Block G Building and City Hall's gazebo.

"We also deploy inner security personnel (Pamdal) to be on standby in several entrance gates to check visitor's body temperature using thermal gun," he asserted.

His side will also continue socializing the importance of implementing health protocols using loudspeakers which installed in all areas of Jakarta City Hall.

"We remind all sides to implement health protocols by using loudspeakers," he said.
