The Association of Indonesian Publishers (Ikapi) once again holds a virtual Indonesia International Book Fair (IIBF) by Ricky Yoseph Pesik, Staff of Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry for the Digital and Creative Industries Sector. It is participated by 175 people.
IIBF 2020 Committee Chairman Arys Hilman said it is the 40th time event, and would run from today to October 7 and could be followed by the public online.

According to him, there were also other virtual activities, such as copyright transactions, discussions, competitions for children, interactions between publishers, writers, librarians, artists, cultural observers, educational actors and other creative industries.
With the virtual presentation, he added, people could buy books for 24 hours without having to leave the house.
"Hopefully it can become a solution for publishers who have experienced a decline in sales due to the pandemic, as bookstores, campuses or their offices are temporarily closed," he hoped.
