Two Weeks of PSBB, LRT Passengers Reach 6,962 People

Number of Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) passengers during the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) reached 6,962 people. It has decreased significantly compared to transitional PSBB period.
LRT passengers have decreased in the current PSBB period
PT. LRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Acting General Manager (Plt), Bintang Kemal stated, number of LRT passengers could reached 82,141 people in transitional PSBB period. But when PSBB reimplemented again on September 14-27, number of passengers has decreased into 6,962 people.
"LRT passengers have decreased in the current PSBB period," he mentioned, Thursday (10/1).
Transjakarta Served 3,632,047 Passengers Within Two Weeks of PSBBAccording to him, COVID-19 prevention health protocols has run optimally during the current PSBB period. Passengers adhere to health protocols by wearing mask, washing hands, and maintaining safe distance.
"There are also officers who check passenger's body temperature at each station entrance," he added.
In line with Jakarta Gubernatorial Regulation NO. 88/2020 concerning the Implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in Handling COVID-19 in Jakarta, LRT also reduced its operating hours gradually.
"LRT capacity is reduced to 30 passengers per train or 60 passengers in one series. LRT Jakarta only operates two series with headway time following the Decree of Jakarta Transportation Agency Head No. 156/2020 concerning Technical Guidelines for PSBB Implementation in Transportation Sector," he explained.
