Anticipating inundation, Matraman Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit deployed 10 personnel to clean up water channel on Jl. Kesatriaan 8, RT 07/03, Kebon Manggis Urban Village, Matraman, East Jakarta.

We clean the channel to anticipate inundation and flood in rainy season

In this cleaning, personnel cleaned mud and garbage with thickness of 1.8 meters from channel with length of 12.4 meters, width 1.5 meters and depth 2 meters.

Matraman Sub-district SDA Unit Coordinator, Agus conveyed, this channel was full of mud and garbage thus it needed to be cleaned to prevent inundation in the area.

"We clean the channel to anticipate inundation and flood in rainy season," he stated, Monday (10/19).

His personnel cleaned the channel manually using four hoes, two crowbars, two dustpan, and two buckets.

"Hopefully this channel can be optimal in distributing water," he said.
