City Prepares Learning Implementation Plan for Constructive Discussion of National Issues

The Education Agency already has the RPP, which is a learning implementation plan for SMP, SMA and SMK

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, has compiled a Teaching Implementation Plan (RPP) for SMP, SMA and SMK levels as material for constructive discussion on the nation's issues. RPP is expected to be a guide for parents, teachers and students in stimulating children's thinking to care about problems being discussed by the community.

"The Education Agency already has the RPP, which is a learning implementation plan for SMP, SMA and SMK. SMP for instance, we give four meetings, with a learning system that has been provided," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (10/26).

Its statement was conveyed at the Coffee Morning activity together with the heads of Polda Metro Jaya and Jakarta Military Commander (Pangdam Jaya), as well as representatives of principals throughout Jadetabek in the context of Responding to the Development of the Kamtibmas (resident security officers) Situation. The meeting itself was also attended by the Education Agency heads from Jakarta, Banten and West Java.

"Today I tell them that we prepare materials for teachers to be able to use what is a conversational discussion in the community as teaching materials for children. So the children are directed to be able to discuss, be able to discuss and study together what we are talking about in society thus the situation being discussed can stimulate them to care about the problems that are in front of this nation," he explained.

He went on to say that it would become a general guideline whose technical implementation would be adjusted to the policies in each school and would be one of the distance learning materials between teachers, students and parents thus children can get the opportunity to get used to discussing constructively the problems discussed by the general public.

"This is a learning material for teachers to invite their children to discuss in a structured manner. We want them in schools to take advantage of situations that develop outside as learning materials. So later this material can be used not only for teachers in Jakarta, anyone who wants to use it can too. Hopefully it will become a learning medium that is useful for teachers, parents and students," he closed.
