Jakarta PMI Collaborates with Karang Taruna to Promote Blood Donation

Jakarta PMI collaborates with Karang Taruna to promote blood donation event in a program called 'A Bag of Blood for the Country'. According to plan, this activity will be held in the near future in 44 sub-districts throughout Jakarta.

It is a great collaboration where PMI volunteers can work hand in hand with Jakarta Karang Taruna in helping the community

Jakarta PMI Chairperson, Rustam Effendi mentioned, this program really helps the community, especially in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic. He expects this activity can be carried out once a week to fulfill Jakarta PMI's blood stock.

"It is a great collaboration where PMI volunteers can work hand in hand with Jakarta Karang Taruna in helping the community," he stated, Saturday (11/7).

Holding Blood Donation Event, Jakpro Collects 107 Blood Bags

Jakarta Karang Taruna Chairperson, Muhammad Mul conveyed, so far, Karang Taruna only contributed as participants in blood donation which carried out by institutions. In this opportunity, his side will use Karang Taruna Sasana Krida Building (SSKT) in each sub-districts to carry out their own blood donation program.

"Aspiration of Karang Taruna members is to hold their own blood donation event as one of youth organization contributions to the country," he said.
