Tempeh Tofu Stock in North Jakarta is Ensured Safe

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency ensures the circulation of tofu and tempeh from several markets in four sub-districts spread over North Jakarta is safe.

According to Unang Rustanto, Sub-agency Head of North Jakarta KPKP, the monitoring was conducted in Pluit Market and Teluk Gong Penjaringan Sub-district, Inpres Market and Mandiri Market Kelapa Gading Sub-district, as well as Koja Baru Market and Pademangan Barat Market.

"Generally tofu and tempeh in North Jakarta are still safe," he expressed, Monday (1/4).

Jakarta KPKP Agency Acting Head Suharini Eliawati explained, field monitoring was carried out in all areas of the capital city.

"There is an adjustment in the price of tofu and tempeh around Rp 2,000," he explained.

"The availability of soybeans is now only about 25 percent and the rest is imported. This is what is being sought for a solution thus it can be resolved soon," he stated.
