8 Echelon-II Officials Inaugurated

Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama inaugurates eight echelon-II officials, City Hall, Friday (10/31). Among those officials are Agus Priyono, who previously served as Deputy Head of Public Works Department, now promoted to be Head of Public Works Department replacing Rudi Manggas Siahaan, as well as North Jakarta Mayor Heru Budi Hartono who now becomes Head of Financial Management Body (BPKD) replacing Endang Widjayanti who is now entering retirement period.

According to Basuki, initially he was going to limit civil servants aged 56 years old. But due to long gap among ranks, the policy is changed. Now, Jakarta Provincial Government is currently holding open-call recruitment for officials from echelon IV, III, and II.
6 Echelon-II Officials to Be Inaugurated“With this system, we will get young people. In the future, the sworn-in officials will not only sign integrity pact, but must also fill out work programs to make measurable works. If the program was not running in three months, we will demote them to regular staff,” he asserted.
Besides Agus Priyono and Heru Budi Hartono, other officials being promoted are I Dewa Gede Soni Ariyawan from echelon-IIIa to echelon-IIa and trusted to serve as Head of Goods and Services Procurement Unit Board (BULP), and Noor Syamsu who fill in the position of Head of One-Stop Integrated Services Board (BPTSP) from previously former Central Jakarta Mayor.
There are also Irvan Amtha who is appointed as Deputy Head of BPTSP, and Muhammad Mawardi as Head of Gubernatorial Affairs and International Cooperation (KDH KLN). In addition, two echelon-II officials are assigned in the Governor’s Team for Development Acceleration (TGUPP), namely Sarwo Handayani who previously served as Deputy Governor for Spatial and Environment Division, and Muhammad Yusuf who is former of Jakarta Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP).
