Three Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMDs) in transportation sector under Jakarta Government have implemented operational hours that has been adjusted to Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which tightened on January 11-25, 2020.

It is done to reduce COVID-19 cases which continued to increase from December 2020 to January 2021.
PT. Transjakarta Operational Director, Prasetia Budi said, Transjakarta adjusted its operating hours from 5 AM to 8 PM.

PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Corporate Secretary Head, Muhamad Kamaluddin stated, his side also adjusted MRT Jakarta operating hours. From today onward, MRT Jakarta train operates from 5 AM-8 PM on weekdays and 6 AM-8 PM on weekend.
"Train headway is 5 minutes during rush hours and 10 minutes in normal hours on weekdays. On weekend, train headway is 10 minutes. We recommend customers to come 30 minutes earlier if they want to use Jakarta MRT service," he mentioned.
Meanwhile, other rail-based transportation, Jakarta LRT train has adjusted its operating hours since January 9, 2020. Its operating hours start from 5:30 AM to 8 PM
