100 Small-Medium Industries to Enliven the East jakarta Great Exhibition

We deliberately facilitating the IKM to exhibit their products. Hopefully, East Jakarta products could be known among public and have more competitiveness

As many as 100 small and medium industries (IKM) will exhibit their products in the East Jakarta Great Exhibition on November 5-7, 2014. The event held by East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department will take place at a shopping center, Cakung, East Jakarta.

According to Tuti Kurnia, Head of Industry and Energy Sub-Department, the event aims to promote creative industries. It is hoped all products can be known widely and encourage people to use local products.

"We deliberately facilitating the IKM to exhibit their products. Hopefully, East Jakarta products could be known among public and have more competitiveness," she disclosed, Monday (11/3)."

He revealed that East Jakarta has many superior products. Among them, are precious stone and agate, furniture, handicraft, culinary, and fashion. Currently, there are 2,000 wood craftsmen in Jatinegara, primarily for furniture sector.

She added, all the malls in East Jakarta should assist the IKM to hold the exhibition. Her sub-department will make a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with all the malls and PD Pasar Jaya, thus they want to provide a place for the exhibition through the CSR program.
