My schedule today is monitoring, blood sampling, and convalescent plasma donor scheduling. It will be held for the next few days," he said, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Ellisa Sumarlin, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
Thus far, he explained, as many as 1,500 people had donated their blood.
"We also call on the residents to join the blood donation. Because according to data, the ideal day is 1,000 or even 1,500 blood donors. Since the pandemic, it has dropped dramatically, only around 200. For convalescent plasma donors, hopefully it can help COVID-19 patients who need plasma," he said.
In handling the pandemic, he added, improvements in various health facilities were also continuing. The city administration hoped that the additional adequate health facilities would also be done in buffer areas.
"Till today we have 8,074 isolation beds from previously reached 6,663. Then 6,364 are used so far, that's 79 percent. The current ICU room is 1,121 from previously reached 907. 893 are used, that means 80 percent. This is approximately our data, 20 percent are non-Jakarta residents. Likewise cemetery, 20 percent are non-Jakarta," he described.
He also made sure that the additional burial grounds continued. Based on the Funeral Agency, around 17,000 plots of land are under preparation stage in Bambu Apus 2, Srengseng Sawah, Tegal Alur, Rorotan, Kramat Tiga, and Pondok Gede.
"InsyaAllah, it is ready in these weeks. But, we hope it is not used, meaning that we can increase the cure rate," he stated.
As for the information, the convalescent plasma donor activity was also attended by Jakarta PMI DKI Chairperson, Rustam Effendi; Jakarta DPRD Chairperson, Prasetio Edi Marsudi; Jakarta IKD DPRD Chairperson, Novie Prasetio; Lions Club Chairperson, Metteyya Mahardhika Ninies; and several other related officials.
