Floodwater on Jl. Gatot Subroto and Semanggi Underpass Has Receded

Jalan Gatot Subroto and Semanggi Underpass, Setiabudi, South Jakarta which flooded as high as 30 centimeters on Thursday (2/18) has gradually receded in late afternoon.

Currently, floodwater in both locations have been completely receded

Setiabudi Sub-district Head, Sri Yuliani Saraswaty said, the roads were flooded due to heavy rain in Jakarta this afternoon. But when the rain subsides in late afternoon, floodwater gradually recedes.

"Currently, floodwater in both locations have been completely receded. Thus vehicles can pass safely and smoothly," she mentioned.

Floodwater is fast receding in both locations because channels and sewers around the location were dredged.

"PPSU and SDA personnel also respond it quickly and cleaning the channels fast," she added.
