15 Joint Personnel Carry Out Larvacidal Activity in Ciracas

Total 15 joint personnel from sub-district, health center (puskesmas), PKK cadres, Jumantik, Dasawisma, RT/RW administrators held larvacidal activity at RW 01, 07 and 10 of Ciracas Urban Village, East Jakarta, this Wednesday (2/24).

Without their participation, dengue cases cannot be suppressed optimally

Ciracas Urban Village Head, Rikia Marwan Salahudin mentioned, in this activity, his side educated and encouraged residents to adopt clean and healthy lifestyle by traveling around the village in order to reduce Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD) cases in the region.  

"It is a campaign where we want to educate and encourage residents to work together in reducing number of dengue cases. Without their participation, dengue cases cannot be suppressed optimally," he asserted.

Central Jakarta Focuses on Controlling Dengue Cases

In larvacidal activity, his side also encouraged people to participate in eradicating mosquito larvae by draining bathtub/water storage containers, burying used goods, closing water containers and recycling high economic value waste.

Residents were also advised to avoid being bitten by mosquito that spreads dengue virus by not sleeping in the morning at 06:00-10:00 and evening 15:00-17:00.

"We also encourage people to be independent Jumantik cadres in their homes," he stated.
