Animal Health Services Held in Tanah Merah

The North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency held animal health socialization, healthcare services and food aid distribution for horses in Tanah Merah, RT 07/07, Tugu Selatan Urban Village, Koja.

To provide stimulus to them, we routinely do health checks, give vitamins to their wagon horses. We also check the body temperature and physical condition of these animals," he expressed, Thursday (2/25).
He explained it was routinely held once every two months. If a horse was sick, treatment would will be given immediately. It was also in collaboration with the Agriculture Ministry, the Jakarta's Indonesian Veterinary Doctors Association (PDHI), the Indonesian Horse Veterinarian Association (ADHKI), the Jakarta Animal Aid Network (JAAN), and PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya.
KPKP Agency Provides Health Service for Animals Affected by FloodIn this occasion, seven horses in the area undergone health checks and all were healthy. Then 200 kg of horse feed were also distributed.
"We check body temperature, body weight, and check digestion and heart rate, including deworming with a dose adjusted to the body weight of each horse," he added.
Agriculture Ministry's Animal Welfare Substance Coordinator Hastho Yulianto added his party really appreciated the implementation of these activities.
"The ministry will always provide support through the Subang Veterinary Center together with the agency to conduct animal health checks," he expressed.
One of horse owners, Husin (62) was grateful for the assistance provided such as health services and providing feed assistance for his horses. He was affected by the COVID-19, as his income also decreased during this pandemic.
"Alhamdulillah, I'm very grateful for the attention and assistance provided by the Jakarta Provincial Government. Hopefully this pandemic will pass quickly and my income can get better again," he stated.
