PPAPP Agency Has Coached 10,000 Jakpreneurs

We're optimistic to reach the target in the forthcoming April

The Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control Agency (PPAPP) has coached around 10,000 Jakpreneurs or 82.5 percent of the RPJMD's target set by 12,120 Jakpreneurs.

Tuty Kusumawati, Agency Head of Jakarta PPAPP said that the UMKM actors coached had reached 8,637 people by the end of 2020. Then until March 12, 2021, there were around 10,000 people.

"We're optimistic to reach the target in the forthcoming April," she expressed, Monday (3/15).

She explained it could be achieved by empowering assistants in each district and RPTRA caretakers to recruit partners joining the Integrated Entrepreneurship Development (PKT) program.

"We encourage PKK cadres and Family Planning (KB) counselors to recruit Jakpreneurs. All this time, they also have a family that was also in the business of increasing family income. These coached families were then invited to join the PKT companion to become Jakpreneurs," she explained.

According to her, the agency held regular meetings with the RPTRA assistant and caretaker at the sub-agency and agency levels.

"With this meeting, this is done by evaluating the achievement of Jakpreneur targets and finding solutions to obstacles in the field. Apart from being given motivation, assistants who achieve the target also receive awards," she told.

After the Jakpreneur target was met, she added, the next step would be focused on developing or improving the quality of Jakpreneur.

"We want Jakpreneur's business to continue to exist, with competitive products and to sell well in the market. The way us by cooperating with several stakeholders who are directly involved in marketing," he stated.
