The restriction plan of motorcycle that crossing Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat up to Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) is still prepared perfectly by Jakarta Provincial Government and City Police. The policy is planned to be applied next December.

The motorcycle restriction in some roads of the capital is based on accident report which already killed 45 thousand people.
"Around 2-3 teenagers died every day due to motorcycle accident," said Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, Monday (11/10).
One Transjakarta Bus Granted to City GovernmentBasuki added that city government keeps looking solution to suppress the accident rate. Later, along MRT lane is also forbidden for motorcycle riders.
But, the citizens no need to worry because of this policy. City government will provide free double-decker bus for them.
"There are still five units of double-decker bus, we'll add five units remaining. The restriction area will be expanded depends on the number of bus," Basuki added.
In fact, the city government can not apply the sanction for those who disobey this policy.
"The sanction will be applied in stages. We have to see the progress first," he continued.
In 2015, city government is bout to purchase 100 double-decker buses to be operated freely. The purchase is handled by PT Transjakarta.
"We already have the model. That could be a brand from Germany," Basuki stated.
