Tingling Sensation with Fish Spa Therapy at Ciracas Urban Village Office

There are about 800 Garra Rufa fish, as a medium for foot nerve therapy, which are deliberately treated in an elongated pool of about 8x10 square meters.

Lety Hermawati, (36), one of residents at Gg. Nisin, RT 06/07 Ciracas, admitted that she had just experienced a fish spa treatment, available at the urban village office. The pool could also be used for simple and free recreation.

"It's a great experience. The light massage the small fish gave me is really unusual. The place is also cleaner and very comfortable to relax, especially on weekends," said the mother with two kids when being met at the office, Sunday (3/21).

Similar statement also came out from Destry Midiatun (37), a resident of RW 07 Ciracas.

"I come with my two kids while cycling. Sometimes we come in the morning or in the evening. It depends on free time to relax in this pool," she expressed.

According to her, this fish therapy was able to improve blood circulation and relieve stress while enjoying the fish pond and mini garden around the therapy pool.

Ciracas Urban Village Head Rikia Marwan Salahudin explained, at the therapy pool, there were 800 small fishes. He also spread 200 ornamental fishes in the pond next to it.

He assessed, they were provided as a form of service innovation to the community. Thus those who come could be entertained while waiting for the service queue. While on weekends and holidays, it could be used for recreation and relaxation.

"This is one of the service innovations for residents, especially those who want to improve blood circulation or just health therapy," he explained.

Certainly, amid the pandemic, his party remain applied health protocols, to contain the spread of COVID-19.
