9,865 Elderlies in Cipayung Have Undergone Vaccination

That's why the current vaccination achievement for the elderly is only 54 percent

Until the end of March, it was recorded that 9,865 or around 54 percent of the total target of 18,284 elderly residents in Cipayung had received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Cipayung Sub-district Head Fajar Eko Satrio said that many elderly people failed to get vaccines due to health factors, such as high blood pressure, high sugar, hypertension, etc. Moreover, many were still afraid to be vaccinated.

"That's why the current vaccination achievement for the elderly is only 54 percent," he said, Thursday (4/1).

To hit the target, his party intensified the vaccination service in eight urban village offices and provided a shuttle service to the elderly, especially for those who had no a vehicle.

"We're also educating the benefits of COVID-19 vaccination by involving dasawisma, as well as monitoring and recording elderly people who have been vaccinated and who have not," he said.
