Lack of Water, City Deployed 4 Water Trucks to Muara Baru Flat

Jakarta Provincial Government responded the clean water crisis in Muara Baru low-cost flat, North Jakarta by deploying four trucks of water.

"We have deployed 4 water trucks to the location for their daily necessity," said Rusdiyanto, Head of Penjaringan Sub-district, Wednesday (11/12).

Besides deploying the water truck, Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama also instructed related unit to speed up the water pipe installation in the flat.

Jakarta Designs Application to Accommodate Citizen Complaints

"I have asked the unit to work on it. We need more flat for those who still live in Pluit Reservoir," said Basuki, Tuesday (11/11).

His side also prepares water from Pluit Reservoir pool to be processed as clean water.

As information, hundreds of Muara Baru flat resident lack of clean water because of troubled water pipe network. Most of them buy the water from peddlers.

"It is better for us living at the reservoir, we never get this matter before," said Yati, one of the residents.

She hoped Basuki will visit the flat to see the real condition.
