Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of April 18

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of April 18.

The number of people tested last week has reached 67,211

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 8,437 specimens. 6,749 of them were to diagnose new cases with 950 positive and 57,99 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 3,001 were tested, with 88 positive results and 2,913 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 67,211, while 339,762 people have undergone the swab tests. As for the number of active cases in Jakarta to date was 6,924 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or decreased to 29 cases," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Sunday (4/18).

Latest Information on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of April 17, 2021

As for the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 399,075 cases. Of these cases, 385,615 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 96.6% and 6,536 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.6%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.7%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 9.6%, while Indonesia was 11%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process was still ongoing. The number of vaccination targets for stages 1 and 2 (health workers, the elderly, and public servants) was 3,000,689 people. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 1,641,932people (54.7%) and the total vaccination dose 2 now reached 849,048 people (28.3%).

With the detailed, vaccination dose 1 for health workers reached 125,188 people (111.5%) and vaccination dose 2 included 109,105 people (97.2%), with a vaccination target of 112,301 people. As for the elderly, vaccination dose 1 was done to 549,011 people (60.2%) and vaccination dose 2 included 278,295 people (30.5%), with a vaccination target of 911,631 people. In the public service, vaccination dose 1 was administered to 967,733  people (49%) and vaccination dose 2 included 461,648 people (23.4%), with a vaccination target of 1,976,757 people.

Amid PSBB, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.

Together with Satpol PP, the operation for residents who do not wear masks will also be intensified, including other PSBB violations. Hopefully, they can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in stopping the chain of COVID-19.

Here is the recap data of violations and prosecution compiled by Satpol PP in tightening the PSBB as of April 17 at 8 PM, as follows:

C. Workplaces, Business Places, Industrial Places

- Fine = 0

- Temporary suspension of activities for 3x24 hours = 0

- Written warning = 2

- License Revocation = 0

- Zero violation = 54

- Total = 56

D. Value of Fines

- Individual = Rp 1,400,000

- Place of business to eat and drink/restaurant = Rp 0

- Workplace/Industrial = Rp 0

- Amount = Rp 1,400,000
