The Central Jakarta administration is going to collect data on vertical drainage wells in eight sub-districts.
Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma said the data collection aimed to map how many existing infiltration wells had been built and how many need to be intervened.

"Those 179 locations are the assets of the Central Jakarta administration, such as urban village offices, sub-district offices, child-friendly public places (RPTRAs), etc," he expressed.
Aside that, the data collection conducted by the Ad Hoc team was aimed at all privately owned buildings. It was because one of the obligations when applying for a building permit to PTSP was the provision of infiltration wells.
"All private buildings that have or have not met the obligation to construct infiltration wells will be recorded," he uttered.
He added as many as 686,000 points of wells were targeted to be built in Jakarta.
"This is our solution to dealing with puddles or floods in Jakarta," he said.
