Head of Jakarta Finance Management Board (BPKD), Heru Budi Hartono, disclosed that Jakarta Provincial Government is allocating fund as much as Rp 150 billion for regional work units (SKPD) to hold meetings in star-rated hotels. Each SKPD usually holds meeting for about two-three times every year.
Jakarta Provincial Government never held meeting in five-star hotels, only in four-star hotels at the most. Thus, it doesn’t include in the category prohibited by the central government
“Usually, a meeting is attended by 100 people maximum with cost Rp 100 million. There are a maximum of three meetings held in a year. So, Rp 100 million multiplied by 3 (meetings) multiplied by 50, because there are 50 SKPDs in Jakarta Provincial Government. Thus, the total is Rp 150 billion,” he explained, Friday (11/14).
According to Hartono, the meetings held by SKPD are only held in three or four-star hotels, never in five-star hotels. This is because the number of participants in the meetings is not much.
