Health Protocols in Workplaces Should Be Obeyed Even After Receiving COVID-19 Vaccines

Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration (Nakertrans) and Energy Agency Head, Andri Yansyah asked people to continue implementing health protocols in workplaces, although they have received COVID-19 vaccines.

Compliance with health protocols such as wearing masks, maintaining safe distance, washing hands with soap, and implementing work from office (WFO) with 50 percent of capacity is very important thus COVID-19 cases in office clusters can be minimized and prevented.

"If office employees or managers are ignorant, surely the ones who will be troubled are themselves since they could be exposed to COVID-19 until the office is temporarily closed. For this reason, health protocols should be adhered to for the common good ," he said, Tuesday (4/27).

"Let's still carry out 5M (using mask, maintaining safe distance, washing hands, avoiding crowds, avoiding mobility for things that are not necessary)," he explained.

According to him, Nakertrans and Energy Agency had conducted unannounced inspections to 3,703 workplaces from January 11 to April 26, 2021. Total 2,135 of them were temporarily closed because didn't follow health protocols.

"We will not loosen monitoring on the field, but tighten it by coordinating with related parties. We also cooperate with Satpol PP and TNI/Police, including other parties from Parekraf and Health Agencies," he stated.
