Collision involving three cars happened on TransJakarta bus lane corridor IX (Pinang Ranti-Pluit) in front of Slipi 2 toll gate, Jalan S Parman, West Jakarta, Sunday (11/16). This accident happened at around 6.29 AM and had caused traffic congestion on the lane from Grogol towards Slipi.

The accident happened because the Suzuki Ertiga car was trespassing (Transjakarta bus) lane in a sudden, thus causing multiple-vehicle collision

Based on the information gathered, the accident started when a Suzuki Ertiga B 1610 USY carelessly trespassing TransJakarta bus lane. At the same time, a dump truck B 9275 GO was coming from behind in speed and directly hit the car. While a TransJakarta bus B 7169 IX that was running at the back of the dump truck, also could not avoid the collision. As a result, all three vehicles are wrecked.

Due to involving TransJakarta bus, West Jakarta Metro Resort Police Traffic Unit Chief AKBP Ipung Purnomo stated that this accident is handled by the City Police Traffic Directorate.

“The accident happened because the Suzuki Ertiga car was trespassing (Transjakarta bus) lane in a sudden, thus causing multiple-vehicle collision,” he said.
