The purpose to build retention basin is to hold water when heavy rain falls

Central Jakarta Assistant for Economic and Development, Bakwan Ferizan Ginting said, after constructing retention basin (embung) as wide as 600 square meters which completed in early May, Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency will build a crossing that connects retention basin with Ciliwung River's tributary.

"We will build crossing channel on Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta to connect retention basin with Ciliwung River's tributary," he mentioned, Wednesday (5/26).

He is optimistic that retention basin and channel crossing construction will solve flood problems on Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta.

"The purpose to build retention basin is to hold water when heavy rain falls. Later on , retention basin will be drained out to Ciliwung River's tributary," he explained.
