It has been four months since Jalan Srikaya at Gondangdia Urban Village, Menteng Sub-District, Central Jakarta, is damaged badly due to water channel malfunction. The road needs to be repaired immediately, so citizens’ activities would not be disturbed.
The road is damaged because of high passing vehicles tonnage and leaking water pipe
Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the road has potholes along 100 meters. The size of the holes is varied, some even has diameter of 2x2 meters with depth 10 centimeters. A leaked clean water pipe that keeps sprouting water is also seen across the road.
“The road is damaged because of high passing vehicles tonnage and leaking water pipe. At first, the road was inundated because of the leaking pipe. Moreover, the water channel is also small and often blocked,” said Joko (45), a local, Tuesday (11/18).
Ahok Came, Locals Agreed Their Lands AcquiredResponding on this matter, Head of Roads and Bridges Maintenance Section for Central Jakarta Roads Public Works Sub-Department, Agustio Ruhuseto, explained that Jalan Srikaya has been listed to be repaired this year.
